About the position

BIMA is a pediatric intermediate care unit that cares for children who need closer monitoring and more advanced care interventions than a regular ward can provide – but do not require intensive care. Here, the acute meets the long-term, the high-tech meets the deeply human.

As a specialist nurse at BIMA, you will work with:

• Continuous monitoring of vital parameters
• Advanced nursing and medical treatments
• Children of various ages with varying diagnoses and care needs
• Frequent care contacts with the child's family, where safety, communication, and participation are central

The work is varied, challenging, and developmental. Our patients' conditions can change rapidly, which requires good clinical insight, teamwork ability, and a calm, structured approach. At the same time, there is time and space for reflection, learning, and collegial support.

With us, you will work in a multidisciplinary team with nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors, where each profession is crucial for the whole. We value knowledge exchange, improvement work, and an open work climate where questions and ideas are encouraged.

The position contributes to our 24/7 operations by working an average of two out of five weekends.

We are looking for you who

• are a licensed nurse with specialist education, for example in pediatric care, anesthesia, intensive care, or another relevant field
• have an interest in intermediate and acute pediatric care
• are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to prioritize and make decisions
• enjoy teamwork and see collaboration as a natural part of good care
• have a professional and empathetic approach towards both children and relatives.

Licensed nurse with specialist education in Acute, Pediatric, and Youth or Intensive Care.
